Spring is in the air –sometimes! When you live in Madison, you aren’t quite sure if spring is going to bring warm air and sunshine, or more snow and slush. They say that with spring comes new beginnings, so we’re doing just that as we’ve decided to make April our membership month. If you aren’t already a member of Ad 2, why not join this month (at a discounted rate) and spend the next year coming to our much-anticipated events?
Remember, all of our events are free for members. For this month only, Ad 2 Madison is giving a discount to everyone who signs up for a membership. If you sign up in April, you will receive a $15 discount and become a member for only $55 for the entire year. Remember, this means that events hosted by Ad 2 Madison are free to you for an entire year.
We put our members first. This is why we try to bring you events that are interesting and applicable to our careers in the communications industry. The next few months, we have a great lineup of both educational and networking events that we think will give you the opportunity to meet new people and enhance your professional skills.
First, this month, we are sponsoring Young Professionals Week (YPWeek), which takes place April 18-24. This week-long celebration features events aimed at connecting young professionals all throughout Madison. Check out our Facebook group page to find out at which events our board members will be attending. Events range from speaker crawls to a night of curated comedy and even free cycling!
In May, we are hosting “From a Different Perspective,” which will feature industry leaders with diverse backgrounds (socioeconomic status, race, gender, sexual orientation) discussing their professional journeys and giving their perspective on a variety of professional topics such as their personal struggles, sacrifices and strategies for success. This event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at Threshold. Food and beverages will be provided by Ian’s Pizza. We hope you can join us for what we know will be a great event.
Finally, in June, we will hold our annual end-of-the-club-year meeting. We will have drinks, vote in our new board and will celebrate the end of another great club year. We are still determining where and when this will be, so stay tuned to our Facebook page and email newsletter for more details to come.
